About our Team:
AJAY CHOPRA [Founder, Principal] is an architect, designer with over 25 years of global experience, blending creativity with precision in every project. His early years in London’s vibrant design scene shaped a bold, countercultural outlook, which he channels into designing dynamic, thoughtful spaces.
Ajay's first touch of fun office space builds started at the 2000's Dot com era when office spaces were constructed on-the-fly as the brand identities were being curated. Even before establishing Echo, he contributed to high-profile projects for clients like BMW and Volvo, and collaborated with luminaries such as Milton Glaser at the School of Visual Arts. At Echo, Ajay leads with a vision that combines cultural depth with practical design, creating architecture that is both innovative and accessible. Echo’s work transforms everyday spaces into meaningful experiences, where art meets innovative design.
To craft spaces that truly inspire, a phenomenal team is absolutely essential. I’m incredibly fortunate to lead a tight-knit, collaborative crew , each member hailing from a diverse backgrounds in architecture, interior design, bespoke craftsmanship, and the arts. Together, we infuse an unwavering passion for design into every project we undertake.
Ajay Chopra AIA, Founder and Principal EDA
CONOR [Lead Project Manager] brings a background of a decade in Architecture and General Contracting to the team, along with his affinity for human centric design. As a community organizer, he brings those same skills to Project Management to ensure that the clients needs are heard and met while also addressing and understanding the abilities of our contractors and vendors.
PETER [Designer] has experience in design and managing construction job sites, he captures the project’s need so the team can exceed expectations. A clear communicator with a knack for creative solutions, Peter keeps things focused, effective, and approachable.
